Permit processing and inspection scheduling have separate numbers. For a new structure, an addition, or exterior work in a historic district, the city names its Planning Counter as the first contact. The counter takes in-person appointments and walk-ins Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, in Room 215 of the City and County Building. The city also publishes Accessory Dwelling Unit Standard Plans.
