What Homeowners Ask

Herriman Remodeling and Permit Questions

Does a wet bar make my Herriman basement an ADU?

Not on its own. Herriman's basement finish page explains that an internal ADU is allowed only in certain zones and takes its own application and approval. A basement finish that includes a kitchen, kitchenette, or wet bar but is not becoming an ADU is submitted with a signed Certificate of Notice.

How long is plan review in Herriman?

Herriman's pages list plan review of about 10 to 15 working days for a remodel, 7 to 10 working days for a basement finish, 10 to 15 working days for an addition, and 7 to 14 business days for an internal or detached ADU. We build that review into the schedule before work begins.
